The Plenum of the Court of Justice of the State of Roraima, in a session held early this afternoon (11), unanimously approved the name of the judge Leonardo Pache de Faria Cupello, for the position of judge. The magistrate will occupy the vacancy left with the retirement of Lupercino Nogueira, which occurred in September 2014.
The inauguration is scheduled for next Monday, September 14, at 4:00 pm in the Full Court Session Room. In addition to this vacancy, the TJ will still have to judge three more administrative procedures, related to three vacancies of judges, created by article 97 of the Code of Judicial Organization of the State of Roraima (Cojerr).
Leonardo Pache de Faria Cupello joined the state magistracy of Roraima in 1993. Previously he was legal advisor to the presidency of the TJ between 1991 and 1992, as well as Legal Advisor to the Presidency from 1992 to 1993. He is currently the second judge of the Criminal Court of Residual Jurisdiction , since 2007, and has been summoned to compose the Court of Justice since September 2013.
The new judge graduated in law from the Cândido Mendes faculty, in the City of Rio de Janeiro. He holds a PhD from the Faculty of Law of the University of Barcelona (Spain), a Master’s Degree in Juridical-Criminal Sciences from the Universidade Clássica de Lisboa (Portugal), a professor of Law at the State University of Roraima and author of books on Criminal Law.
